Course Drop, Withdrawal & Refunds

Sometimes life takes a turn; plans change, opportunities pop up, or challenges get in the way. If you decide not to attend 麻豆精品国产, you must officially drop or withdraw from your courses. Doing so:

  • Confirms your decision not to attend
  • Frees up seats for other students, especially in classes with wait lists
  • Helps you avoid paying for courses you won鈥檛 take
  • Protects your financial aid and your academic record

Don't wait until the last minute. Dropping or withdrawing early helps you and your fellow Lions.


Financial and Academic Responsibility

Enrolling in courses means you are responsible for tuition and fees unless you officially drop or withdraw.

  • Not attending class or not paying tuition is not the same thing as withdrawing.
  • Failure to act can result in full charges and loss of financial aid eligibility.

  Students who wish to withdraw from a class or change classes are governed by the following policy:

  • Withdrawals through the 11th day of full-semester fall and spring courses and the fifth day of the summer terms are not recorded on the student's permanent record.
  • Full-semester spring and fall courses dropped before the semester begins and during the first week of the semester are given a 100 percent refund.
  • Beginning in the second week and until the 11th class day, courses are dropped at the 50-percent rate. Courses dropped after the 11th day are not refunded.
  • Refunds for shorter courses, such as eight-week courses, will be calculated on a prorated basis of a regular semester course.
  • Summer courses dropped before the term begins and during the first two days are given a 100 percent refund. Beginning on the third day and until the fifth class day, courses are dropped at the 50-percent rate. Courses dropped after the fifth day are not refunded.
  • Students withdrawing from a credit course before 5 p.m. on Friday of the 12th week (or posted last day to withdraw) of the fall or spring semester will receive a W on their permanent record.
  • Summer term students withdrawing from a credit class before 5 p.m. on Friday of the fourth week of the five-week term in which they are enrolled will receive a W on their permanent record.
  • Students who withdraw from a class or change classes according to the refund policy and are due a refund may select a refund preference with , a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc.

NOTE: If you open a BankMobile Vibe checking account, there may be a charge for this service.


Dropping a Course (Before Semester Starts)

If you decide not to take a course before the semester starts or during the official adjustment and refund period, you can drop it in Workday. 

Dropping a course during this time:

  • Removes it from your schedule
  • Does NOT appear on your transcript
  • May qualify you for a tuition and fee refund (if within the refund period)

How to Drop a Course in Workday

  • Log in to Workday.
  • Click on your PROFILE ICON (top right).
  • Click VIEW PROFILE.
  • Select ACADEMICS from your Student Profile Menu.
  • Click CURRENT CLASSES.
  • Under MY ENROLLED COURSES, find the course and click ACTIONS.
    • If you don't see the DROP option, contact your academic advisor.
  • Check the CONFIRM box.
  • Click OK.

Important: Dropping is only available during specified dates. Once the adjustment/refund period ends, you must follow the withdrawal process instead.

Withdrawing from a Course (After Semester Starts)

Once the semester begins (or after the official adjustment and refund period ends), you must officially withdraw from a course in Workday if you decide not to remain enrolled. 

Withdrawal Policy

  • Through the 11th day of fall/spring semester (or fifth day of summer): No record on your transcript.

  • Deadlines:
    • Fall/Spring Semesters: 5 p.m. on Friday of the 12th week.
    • Summer Semester: 5 p.m. on Friday of the 4th week of a five week term.
  • Withdrawals made before the deadline result in a "W" on your transcript

 

How to Withdraw in Workday

  • Log in to Workday.
  • Click your PROFILE Icon (top right).
  • Click VIEW PROFILE.
  • Select ACADEMICS.
  • Click CURRENT CLASSES.
  • Under MY ENROLLED COURSES, click Withdraw.
  • Check the CONFIRM WITHDRAW from course box and review the alert.
  • Click OK and complete the questionnaire.
  • Click SUBMIT (Please note: withdrawing from a course requires approval from 麻豆精品国产. Your request will not show on your student record until it is approved.)
